Making Connections
Yulendj Laang
PSC and the Australian Youth Orchestra
This term we had the privilege to welcome back the Australian Youth Orchestra, facilitated through the CEO of the AYO Colin Cornish. 16 students from the Australian Youth Orchestra were part of a program led by Paul Rissmann from the London Symphony Orchestra with the support from Belinda McFarlane, violin player from the London Symphony and William Barton in collaboration with a group of students from Peninsula Specialist College. Learning Stones & Our Integrated Indigenous Curriculum
The Learning Stone will help promote and celebrate aboriginality in all its forms; from educating school community and validating Koorie people both past and present, and their journey in the school setting, and by helping young Koorie people to embrace and become involved in community.
Bunjil The Eagle is Peninsula Specialist College's song to celebrate the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and our connection to the Boon Wurrung land.
